The word, 'biraho' signifies a profound spiritual and emotional state which goes beyond the feeling of sorrow, but a intense yearning for union with the universal beloved or the Divine. In him, this ‘biraho’ can also be seen as 'madhuro' or a sense of delightfulness in the melieu of nature and love. In this collection ‘Biraho Madhur Holo’, the songs are taken from ‘Puja’, ‘Prem’ and ‘Prakriti’ in celebration of the concept of ‘Biraho’. The collection includes three songs of ‘Gitanjali : Song Offerings’ for which the poet was bestowed with the Nobel prize in literature pronounced on 13th November, 1913. This collection is therefore a humble tribute to this Nobel laureate. Anindya Narayan Biswas , widely known for his songs in a famous Bengali TV serial ‘Gaaner Opare’ and in cinemas like ‘Mayurakshi’ sang these songs in this album.
