In this video, I hit the streets of Mumbai to explore some local street food for breakfast. With only a few hundred rupees in my pocket, my budget was tight, but that didn’t stop me from discovering some amazing flavors along the way. My first stop was a popular spot known for its dosas. I’d passed by this stall a couple of times before, and each time it was packed with locals—always a good sign. So, I decided to finally give it a try. I ordered the masala dosa, filled with spiced potatoes, and it did not disappoint. The crisp, golden exterior and the flavorful filling were absolutely delicious. Next, I visited a place renowned for its puris. I opted for a veg thali, which came with five different curries, four crispy puris, and a poppadom. Every dish was full of flavor, and at just 145 rupees (about $1.70 USD), it was an incredible deal for the variety and portion size. As I continued my walk, I came across a man selling masala chai on the street. I grabbed a cup for just 10 rupees and savored the warm, spiced tea while sitting by the roadside, soaking in the busy Mumbai atmosphere. Afterward, I treated myself to a lassi—a creamy, yogurt-based drink. It was tangy, but surprisingly refreshing and quite delicious. I wrapped up my breakfast with a little something sweet: fresh papaya. A vendor was slicing it right in front of me, so I grabbed a bag for just 20 rupees. It was the perfect light, refreshing end to a street food adventure. All in all, it was a fantastic experience.
