Initial unpacking and hooking up system for a dry run right out of the box Defway security system cameras. Since taping this I have installed the system but haven't fine tuned the software yet. it still records several seconds after the motion sensor kicks in and there are many files that do not have any recordings in them at all. So, what's up with that? I will update this as I get system finalized. The hardware, (cameras and recorder) seem to work fine and the quality seems ok. I have nothing to compare it to really but I think its a decent quality. Update: as of 12/2016, the unit does not work. I get a black screen when I hook up a monitor to the unit. The monitor works so it is either the graphics card or the unit. Either way it does not work. It is past the warranty and I must spend the time to trouble shoot this or get another unit. All in all I am disappointed in this experience. I have what are touted as high end camerasand 1 teribite of storage but were never able to use it on my ipad or iphone and now just does not work at all.
