MINOTAUR - NETTIE (Type O Negative cover)

  / theminotaurproject     / mattgabnai   STORY: So when I made my version of Kings of a Carnival Creation, I kind-of got hooked on doing covers, especially with a challenge. Vocally I don't think there's a lot of good Metal songs out there that aren't a challenge for me in one form or another (I can't really sing, I just know how to edit and produce it well enough to make it listenable), but this track was a big challenge in pretty much just that, as the rest of the arrangement is fairly simple - which is what I was looking for. I don't think I nailed the level of charisma Peter Steele had in his vocal lines, but I think my version turned out to be okay. I had fun making this, way more than with anything new I composed recently, so currently I'm working on covering some other favourites of mine from the ground up - some with a twist, others as close to the original as I can. This was my last work in 2017, some other songs are in the making. Comments, requests and criticism, as much as a truckload of money, are of course welcome!
