Alamà’s work bridges classical figurative painting and contemporary aesthetics, often referencing art history to create intimate, reflective spaces inhabited by his models. A major focus of his practice is the ongoing reinterpretation of Dante’s Divine Comedy, begun during the pandemic in 2020. Starting with Inferno, this series presents condemned souls in mystical, often brutal landscapes, offering a striking metaphor for the modern human condition. Through this lens, Alamà challenges viewers to reflect on collective morality and the consequences of societal choices. His works are held in permanent collections including the MEAM and Can Framis Museum in Barcelona, as well as in private collections across Europe, the United States, and Australia.
