The first in a series of public forums with 2025 NYC mayoral candidates to consider how public safety policy, political leadership and community priorities guide New York City’s future. Errol Louis, an award-winning political journalist with decades of experience covering New York politics and policy, will moderate the conversation. Columbia Journalism School and Vital City are continuing their series of forums featuring 2025 New York City mayoral candidates with Curtis Sliwa, the Republican nominee for Mayor, on October 6. Invitations have also been extended to Mayor Eric Adams and former Governor Andrew Cuomo. Additional dates will be announced as candidates confirm their attendance.
