The patient is a young male who presented with a symptomatic, right-sided inguinal hernia. Due to the patient's symptoms and complaints, Dr. Shouhed decided to go ahead and repair this. In the office, it was a little difficult given his body habitus to determine how big the hernia actually is. The operation is done robotically. Dr. Shouhed typically likes to choose the robotic approach as it gives him more flexibility especially for larger hernias which he finds a little more difficult to do laparoscopically. The precision of the robotic operation and the three dimension view really makes for more precise operation and just leads to less hematomas, less swelling, and ultimately less pain.
