In today’s video I take a simple 3-kilometre walk through our village here in northern Bosnia to pick up 15 fresh free-range eggs from the local kiosk. Nothing dramatic, nothing planned — just everyday life as it unfolds. Along the way you’ll see the small river that separates our village from the next, the local coffee bar that sits quietly by the roadside, and a glimpse of what rural living really looks like after the age of 70. I’m also experimenting with a small digital detox — four days without browsing news on my phone — and I share a few honest thoughts about how that feels. Sometimes the simplest routines, like walking for eggs or listening to the school bus pass, become the moments that ground us the most.
