Molly McAlpine 2023 - Cláirseach solo ("Carolan's Dream")

I learned "Molly McAlpine" off of the record "Ann's Harp" by the duo "Clairseach" aka Ann and Charlie Heymann in 1984. It was my first ancient Irish harp-tune and I'm still enchanted by its beauty 39 years later. It was composed by one of the brothers Connellan, both harpers and composers who lived in the 17th century. Some sources name Thomas, others William. The tune is also called "Carolan's Dream", because the famous harper Turlough O'Carolan is reported to have said, that he would have traded all his own compositions for being the composer of "Molly McAlpine", because he loved this tune so much. I owe "Molly McAlpine" not only to Ann Heymann's playing but also to 2 hours of "clairseach-technique-bootcamp" with her at the Granard-Harp-Festival in 1985.
