Forgiveness: Letting Go of Resentment Towards Others, Self, and Circumstances

A C4 webinar presented by Kristin Cuthriell, MEd, MSW, LCSW on September 2, 2020. After completing this webinar, attendees will be able to describe how resentment negatively affects us mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. They will be able to identify eight distorted beliefs about letting go of resentment and restructure them into healthier thoughts that help them let go. Attendees will be able to teach at least four letting go of resentment techniques to others. They will also be able to define self-compassion and teach others why self-compassion is important in reducing shame and forgiving self. They will also be able to explain techniques to help others become more self-compassionate. Attendees will be able to teach others about state anger and the sympathetic nervous system. They will be able to describe at least ten techniques to decrease state anger.
