Topics The Body as Perception When examined directly, the body is revealed as sensation, not substance. Without perception, there is no body to be found—only experiencing. The Absence of Shape A shape requires an edge. When the body is explored from within, no edge appears. Like a cloud or water, it only seems shaped from a conceptual distance. No Size, No Center Without shape, the body has no size—and without size, it cannot have a center. The idea of being “located” in the body collapses. The Body Appears and Disappears The sense of body is not constant. It arises and fades as attention moves, showing it to be a dynamic experience, not a fixed entity. Inside and Outside Reversed What we call “inside” and “outside” are conceptual overlays. The body appears in the same experiential field as thoughts, sounds, and sights. Thoughts Don’t Live in the Head Thoughts do not occur in space. They have duration, not location. The belief that they happen “in the head” is a learned assumption. Space as a Visual Illusion Space only exists relative to sight. Sounds do not appear at a distance; hearing is immediate and intimate—closer than close. No Hearing Without Awareness Sound cannot exist apart from hearing, and hearing cannot exist apart from awareness. Experience and knowing are inseparable. No Separate Witness There is no individual observer behind experience. The observer and the observed cannot be separated—experience is self-knowing. Experience as Movement of Being Sensations, thoughts, and perceptions are like waves in the ocean—movements of the same essence, never separate from it.
