NOMAD (Ep. 51) Damon Amendolara thought he knew BBQ before he moved to Kansas City. Boy was he wrong. Living in KC for 5 years while working at 610 Sports made him realize everything he didn't know about elite level BBQ. But after those years in the Mighty Midwest, D.A. now considers himself with a deep BBQ understanding. Which is why it was startling to hear so many people rave about KC's newest BBQ joint Q 39. First Dante Hall, Chiefs ex-All-Pro told D.A. he had to go. Then his blue-chip BBQ resource, B-Dub, said the same. Damon had to check it out. Sure enough, Q 39's pulled pork is smokey, juicy and delicious. The ribs are tender and fall off the bone. The brisket is flavorful and moist. But the burnt ends, this is where D.A. was blown away. Damon loved burnt ends and no one does it better than KC, and watching his face melt while trying the burnt ends at Q 39 is enough reason to watch this episode. Check out some of the most eye-catching BBQ out there with close-ups and slow motion shots of this delectable meal. When the dust cleared, D.A. had to admit, this was elite BBQ.
