Judima is a traditional rice wine predominantly brewed by Dimasa women in Assam. The brew is an integral part of Dimasa culture and society. It is served during all occasions whether it's a celebration or morning ritual. In 2021, Judima became the first locally-brewed fermented rice wine from the region to win a GI (Geographical Identification) tag, thus patenting the product and crediting it to the Dimasas who largely inhabit the Dima Hasao district of Assam.
