During this journey, you’ll see streets that blend the industrial charm of the 19th century with modern architecture and atmospheric neighborhoods. We’ll be cruising past iconic places like Piotrkowska Street, one of the longest shopping streets in Europe, lined with Art Nouveau buildings and colorful murals. Łódź is a city of contrasts – monumental brick factories stand alongside modern loft apartments, and former industrial sites like Manufaktura now serve as cultural and recreational hubs. Manufaktura is truly a city landmark; once one of the largest cotton mills in Europe, it belonged to the famous Łódź industrialist Izrael Poznański. Today, it’s a shopping and entertainment center that attracts both locals and tourists alike. Łódź is also home to the Łódź Film School, one of the oldest and most prestigious film schools in the world, where renowned Polish directors began their careers.
