Join us on our travels on the Camino de Santiago! About this episode: A beautiful sunrise welcomes us as we leave our amazing albergue (Hostel La Perala) at 6:00am and we manage to get approximately 150 metres and we find out first coffee ☕️. We are due to walk about 20km today in a heatwave hence leaving so early. On entering El Burgo Ranero we have a swift breakfast, get sun creamed up and start heading towards Reliegos. There is no denying that the Meseta region certainly throws a few challenges to pilgrims and we were exposed whilst walking this area. Louise' feet take a real battering and after a bit of first aid from Mark we are back on our way (we have spent a small fortune on Compeed at this point in the walk 🤣). We arrive at the beautifully welcoming alburgue (Las Hadas Albergue) which serves just vegetarian food and it was wonderful to sit down with many other pilgrims and swap stories of todays walk.
