How to win your deposition? How do I win my deposition? Any tips for giving a great deposition? Most common deposition mistakes? These are common deposition questions I am often asked. In this video I analyze a real deposition and explain what the witness - Dr. Tony Huge - did right and wrong. I also discuss what the lawyer taking the deposition did right and wrong. How can you give a better deposition? First, listen to the questions that are asked. Make sure you understand what is being asked before your answer. Second, don't volunteer testimony or information unless you were asked or there is a strategic reason to do so. Third, be respectful and don't fight with the lawyer. Strive to be - Cool. Calm. Collected. Fourth, if your lawyer defending you during the deposition speaks or objects - listen closely! You can learn a lot from what your lawyer is saying or what they are objecting to.
