#railfanning #norfolksouthern #wheelingandlakeerie #railfan #railroad #railway #video #viralshort #viralvideo A few weeks ago I caught a lot of trains on the W&LE Brewster sub and NS train on the Fort Wayne line in Orrville Ohio. I saw a total of 4 W&LE trains with one doing switching and 5 NS trains. This first W&LE train we saw was westbound with the 30th anniversary locomotive on it. They came right after I saw a rail truck on the tracks. I think the rail truck went onto the siding because the train came 5 minutes after I saw the rail truck. The second train we saw was a switching train. This train was doing some switching into the orrville junction siding. After they did the switching they came full throttle heading west. The third train we saw was an eastbound that was going really fast. This train had 5 locomotives on it with W&LE 7006 ex CEFX on the lead and it had both Rio Grande on it too. The last train we saw was another eastbound at about 1:45. This train had the 35th anniversary locomotive on it. We sadly saw no trains in the day light so I wasn’t able to get any good pictures with my camera. The first NS train I saw was a NS westbound manifest at around 1 in the morning. The second train I saw was an eastbound manifest. The third train I saw was a short local heading east to canton. This had an either a GP-40 or GP-35 on both the front and back. The next train I saw was another westbound manifest. They were also doing switching down on the same tracks where the Orrville historical society runs there excursions. I don’t how often they do switching down there but that was my first time seeing them do switching. With my new camera I can good pictures of the NS trains. I have a 18-105mm lens but for a couple of the train I used my grandpas 70-300mm lens which is better for catching the trains up close since they are so far away. This was from 2/12/26-2/13/26.
