Our first fishing day of 2026. There was a decent enough break in the rainy weather for us to get back on the water. It didn't last long... King tides and big swells had waves crashing over the breakwater. ‪@blackflag_fishing‬ brought a friend along for his first time kayak fishing, so we decided to keep it safe and stay close to the harbor entrance- wind/weather depending. We got on some calico and sand bass before the rain caught up to us and we decided to head back in. By that time it was almost a 7' high tide and waves were exploding over the breakwater.
