When students walk into a classroom, who do they see? And what does that teach them about their place in the world? In this powerful video, we explore why investing in and retaining educators of color isn't just important—it's critical. Our classrooms are filled with Polynesian students, Hispanic students, Asian students, Black students, multiracial students, and white students. They all need to see themselves reflected in the adults leading their learning. But representation does more than affirm identity. It teaches compassion, challenges power dynamics, and actively combats systems that perpetuate harm. When educators of color are supported, retained, and given what they need to flourish, everyone benefits—including white students who learn to understand their own power and use it responsibly. Watch as we break down why this work matters and how TAF is committed to ensuring educators of color have the support, resources, and environment they need to thrive in their classrooms and buildings. This isn't just about education—it's about transforming society. And it starts with who's standing at the front of the classroom. Part 3 of our End of Year Campaign series
