Rebecca Kuennen, MD - Cornea Specialist

Dr. Rebecca Kuennen is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology with the Anterior Segment Division at OSU Havener Eye Institute. Dr. Kuennen graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and received her M.D. from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She continued her education with an internal medicine internship at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania; an ophthalmology residency at Drexel University College of Medicine; and a cornea fellowship at The Ohio State University William Havener Eye Institute under the direction of Thomas Mauger, M.D. Dr. Kuennen is experienced in surgery and treatment of cataract and corneal conditions as well as all areas of comprehensive ophthalmology. Dr. Kuennen holds membership in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. In addition, she has volunteered at Philadelphia health fairs, Healthcare Outreach to the homeless, and People's Emergency Center in West Philadelphia. Dr. Kuennen has participated in several mission trips to Nicaragua where she performed corneal transplants on underprivileged adults and children.
