Overview: One of the more common things you'll need to do when building custom Alexa skills is get data from one or more external APIs to use in your skill's response to user requests. Thanks to the NodeJS http and https modules, working with external APIs is pretty simple. In this video we'll be creating a skill that tells users how many people are currently in space. We'll use an API from open-notify.org that provides the names of astronauts who are currently in space.
