🎙️ Episode 50: Seen by God — The Quiet Strength of Leah In Episode 50, we reflect on the powerful and often overlooked story of Leah, a woman whose life reminds us that God sees what others ignore. Genesis 29:31 tells us that “when the Lord saw that Leah was unloved, He opened her womb.” Though Leah felt rejected by her husband Jacob—who had been deceived into marrying her—God saw her pain, her longing, and her worth. At first, Leah named her sons in hopes that Jacob would finally notice and love her. Each name reflected her deep desire to be seen by him. But something profound happened when she gave birth to her fourth son. She named him Judah, which means “praise.” In that moment, Leah shifted her focus—from seeking validation from her husband to offering praise to God. Her identity was no longer defined by rejection, but by recognition of God’s presence in her life. This episode explores how many of us strive endlessly to gain approval—from spouses, family, colleagues, or society—when the truth is that we are already loved and already chosen by God. Leah’s quiet perseverance and faith changed the trajectory of her life. Through her son Judah came the royal lineage of David and ultimately Jesus Christ, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Leah’s story teaches us that significance does not come from human approval or earthly achievements; it comes from God alone. When we feel overlooked, rejected, compared, or judged by outward appearances, we can remember that God sees us fully. Like Leah, we are invited to shift from striving for acceptance to resting in the love and purpose God has already given us.
