In the beginning they collaborate with two importants djs: DJ Cirillo and DJ Ricci that are involved in all the datura productions from 1991 until 1995. Datura collaborate with artists as Billie Ray Martin, Steve Strange from Visage, Ben Volpelier Pierrot from Curiosity Killed the Cat and remixed artists as: Freddie Mercury, Luciano Ligabue, Spagna, Irene Grandi, Skiantos, CSI... The first single was "Nu Style" , in the summer of 1991 , followed by smash-hits "Yerba Del Diablo", "Eternity" and more. In 1995 DJ Ricci stops to collaborate with the band and in 2000 also Cirillo leaves Datura. The name "Datura" is a magical and hallucinogen plant which grows in the hills of North Mexico that the Yaqui shaman use for their rituals to get close to knowledge. Actually Datura are deejays too and they are involved in more music projects and productions besides Datura.
