As per the legend, a giant who resided in the area was transformed into the stone by a wizard. Some visitors have reported experiencing an eerie presence at the site, with a few even claiming to have seen the ghostly figure of the giant wandering around the stone. Cork Stone is also believed to be a popular spot for witches to gather and perform their rituals. Nine Ladies Stone Circle is a circular formation of nine upright stones, including a larger stone known as the King Stone, standing apart from the others. Legend has it that the stones were originally nine ladies who were turned to stone for dancing on the Sabbath. Visitors have reported feeling an eerie presence or hearing strange sounds at the site, with some claiming to have seen the ghostly figure of the nine ladies dancing around the circle.
