Hi! In this video, I compare various soldering irons and stations I use in my workshop. An aspect often overlooked in other reviews is how much thermal energy the irons actually provide. This is one of the most important aspects when one wants to heat large joints. So I built a large heatsink the irons can try to warm up, and I measure the electrical input power. The more power an iron draws, the more energy gets transferred into the joint.
