Hundreds of refugees and migrants have been rescued by the Greek coastguard after spending days in the Aegean Sea. Their boat was heading to Italy from Turkey but lost power along the way, causing a dispute over who should rescue them. Most of those rescued are being held at the Reception and Identification Centre on the island of Kos. It is currently being expanded to accommodate more refugees. Even though they have all tested negative for COVID-19, the Greek Centres for Disease Control mandates that they spend two weeks in quarantine.
