How to setup Jenkins on Windows with (.war) and (.msi) files | Setup Java , Git and Maven on Windows

▶️ In this 2nd session in the Jenkins series , I have shown How to setup Jenkins on Windows using war file and by using .msi file MS windows Installer package. We also Setup the Java , Git and Maven on the Local Machine running Windows OS. Follow following steps ===--- 1] Download and Install Java [ java 8 or java 11] -- https://www.oracle.com/java/technolog... -- Select Java SE 8 -- Windows x64 Installer -- Login to your oracle account -- (.exe) File will be downloaded as .exe -- Double click to start installation -- complete the easy installation process -- Edit the system environment variables -- Add JavaHome and path upto the bin folder - Verify java installation --Open cmd prompt- java -version --java version "1.8.0_311" 2] Download and Install Jenkins -- https://www.jenkins.io/download -- Download Jenkins 2.319.3 LTS for Windows 1. Using .war file -- (.war) file will be downloaded -- Open cmd prompt -- Run java -jar jenkins.war 2. Using .msi -- (.msi) file will be downloaded -- Double click to start installation -- complete the easy installation process -- Start / Stop from services as Jenkins will be installed as Windows service 3] Download and configure Maven -- https://maven.apache.org/download.cgi -- Download apache-maven-3.8.4-bin.zip -- Unzip the file -- Edit the system environment variables -- Add MavenHome and path upto the bin folder - Verify Maven setup --Open cmd prompt- mvn-version --maven-3.8.4 4] Download and Install GIT -- https://git-scm.com/downloads -- Download 32 / 64 bit Git for Windows -- Double click to start installation -- complete the easy installation process -- Verify the system environment variables -- git config --global user.name "AjAutomation" -- git config --global user.email "AjAutomation09@gmail.com" ====================================== ***************AJ AUTOMATION************* ====================================== Hi guys, Please share and Like the content whichever you find informative to reach more beginner candidates learning Test Automation.
