With Organics/Food Waste growing more in the Desert, Burrtec started offering 2 yard dumpsters to places in addition to the 65 Gallon EGs. They split the routes up as well, as most other Burrtec yards tend to pick up the Commercial Organics route with a FEL equipped with tippers, the Palm Desert sends a Peterbilt 320 Mini Amrep Octo and a Peterbilt 320 Amrep Elliptical to handle all the carts and a ACX FF Gomez FEL to handle the dumpsters during the week, but on Saturday its usually a different truck covering the route. The Commercial Organics Dumpster route is scheduled to go on Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays and featured in this video was the Saturday route where most of these bins go 3 times a week. I have been wanting to film the Saturday Organics route for a while and I got to the chance to last weekend. The route is pretty small with only 11 stops, but went all over from Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Cathedral City and up to Sky Valley. I definitely plan on filming this route during the week really soon, as its a little bit bigger than it is on the weekend. The driver also ran the truck super good so it made filming this route really enjoyable. Huge thanks to the super cool driver Jose, for letting me film and showing me where all the stops were at!
