BOTSWANA | Part 1: Secrets of Khubu Island

We kick off our Botswana adventure as we leave South Africa through Stockpoort border post, crossing into Botswana, and begin the first stretch of our journey toward the incredible salt pans. Our first night takes us to the peaceful banks of the Limpopo River, where we set up camp next to a mood-setting bonfire. From there, we continue deeper into Botswana’s remote landscapes, eventually making our way to Lekhubu Island — a rocky outcrop surrounded by endless white salt pans, ancient baobab trees and holds majestic peacefulness. Be sure to follow along and stay tuned for part 2 & 3 of this series, where we head to Khwai, Savuti and Chobe National Park. Please note that all our footage is currently taken using cellphones (a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and an iPhone 11). We aim to be able to use better gear in the future.
