Baffu is a Belize Creole word that means to TRY. The popular term "baffu ah cahn gamma" describes the idea that you are trying, but keep missing. Yasser Musa - teacher, activist, poet, artist - explains this idea using his love and passion for art and understanding how we can use it to change the conversation. Yasser is an artist, activist, promoter, poet, publisher and teacher. His visual art beginning came in August 1992 with Minus 8 a multi-media collaboration with Ivan Duran. Held at the then Bliss Institute Minus 8 directly questioned the traditional consensus of art pressing for a new understanding of the media and technological visual landscape. Musa founded the Image Factory Art Foundation in June 1995, an artist based institution dedicated to the documentation, promotion, publication, and exhibition of art and culture in Belize. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
