This episode starts inside the wheelhouse of the Dutch fishing trawler, where serious rust removal is underway. Years of corrosion on the inside of the steel are being cleaned back, and after plenty of grinding and preparation, the first primer layer is finally applied an important step in protecting the steel and moving the restoration forward. After finishing the work in the wheelhouse, a friend and I head out for an unexpected side project. A small boat had sunk after filling up with rainwater, and the deal was simple whoever managed to recover the boat could keep it. So we set out to lift and salvage the boat, turning it into a bit of an adventure and possibly a new project. The next day brings another journey on the water. I help a friend by sailing his boat across the Markermeer and IJsselmeer toward Medemblik. What starts as a normal trip quickly becomes a real challenge when we find ourselves navigating through dense fog, carefully making our way across the lakes. It turns into a true adventure before finally arriving in Medemblik.
