Drum lesson: Hand & foot combinations in triplets

Hand and foot combinations (linear drumming) completely changed my playing! Therefore I want to share it with all the drummers out there. This might be a familiar concept for many of you intermediate and advanced drummers, but you might still benefit from this video as I go through in depth almost every possible combination in triplets. Maybe it will just be a good repetition or you might discover a couple of new things in here. You can get a lot of mileage out of these few combinations: hand hand foot, foot hand hand and hand foot hand orchestrated in different ways, adding cymbals etc. For beginners, take it slow! Start by learning the different combos and get them down. I have spent many years practicing to be able to nail some of these combos, and it is still is a work in progress for me, to get them tight and flowing. They are not easy, although it might seem like they are. This video is recorded in 2021. I didn't nail all of these combos a 100 % back then, and I'm still struggling with some of them. I hope that's a consolation if you find this a bit overwhelming. If you are new to this concept, work through the video over time, that's my best advice. One thing is to be able to play the combinations, most people can do that, but it is a completely different thing to be able to pull them out in a musical setting and get them to flow... Good luck!
