Concrete in Fire: Behaviour and Beam Design

Reinforced concrete generally performs well in fire conditions. However, there are ways to carry out performance-based designs as introduced in this method. The application of the simplified 500ºC isotherm method is shown, along with the derivation of the capacity of a beam.
