The experience of watching this iconic and gut-wrenching scene unfold in front of the entire ensemble, playing such lush and enchanting music, was one of the most unforgettable moments of my life, and definitely the inspiration for this video. This scene holds a deeply sentimental place in my heart, and witnessing it performed live was a dream come true. The way the music builds when Kevin looks outside, and the minor four chord right when we see the grandfather, highlighted by the minor second rub in the violins is absolutely genius. And then the modulation down from C to B is just perfection.
