This reflection walks through: • the Book of Isaiah • the First Letter to the Corinthians • the Gospel of John Isaiah reminds us that Israel was called to be a light to the nations, so that God’s goodness could reach everyone. Saint Paul shows us that God’s call becomes clear through change. John testifies that recognition came first, and understanding followed later Together, the readings point to one truth: God’s will is revealed gradually. It is discovered gradually through people, through time, and through the ordinary moments of everyday life. In our own lives, we learn that God’s will is often known as we respond faithfully to what is already in front of us.
