I only did one run on Shining Force 2, but the game had marked me if only for the anticipation it had aroused after the excellent first opus, but also for the generosity it had shown. Its OST was truly ambitious between scores that seek to transcribe the epic breath of the orchestra (the symphonic arrangement of the soundtrack is a real gem, if you haven't heard it    • [OST] Shining Force II Symphonic Suite [Tr...  ; it's reminiscent of the music from Dragon Quest in many ways) and others more mysterious and captivating whose play of sounds reminds me a little of that of Castle of Illusion. In all of this, the village theme "Lively Town" is a slightly jazzy little ballad with a groove all its own. It surprises with its development by shifting into a more intimate classical work. I find a slight parallel with the music of Fantasia (Mickey again). ------------------------------------------------------------------ En tant que Sega boy, Shining Force est évidemment une série qui me tient à coeur. Je n'ai fait qu'un run sur Shining Force 2, mais le jeu m'avait marqué ne serait ce que pour l'attente qu'il avait suscité aprés l'excellent premier opus, mais aussi pour la générosité dont il avait fait preuve. Son OST était réellement ambitieuse entre des partitions qui cherchent à retranscrire le souffle épique de l'orchestre (l'arrangement symphonique de l'OST est d'ailleurs un vrai bijoux si vous ne l'avez pas écouté    • [OST] Shining Force II Symphonic Suite [Tr...  , il rappelle à bien des égards les musiques de Dragon Quest) et d'autres plus mystérieuses et envoutantes dont le jeu de sonorités me rappelle un peu celui de Castle of Illusion. Dans tout ça, le thème du village "Lively Town" est une petite balade légèrement jazzy avec un groove bien à lui. Il surprend par son développement en basculant dans une oeuvre plus classique intimiste.
