Lillibullero Morris Dance - Adderbury tradition

As part of the Doncaster Folk Festival, three morris teams met in the Town Centre and entertained the crowds with a fine display of traditional dance. The teams were Green Oak Morris (Doncaster), Maltby Phoenix Rapper & Longsword and Rattlejag (Retford). Green Oak Morris Dancers enjoyed Pie and Peas in Doncaster Brewery Tap and performed the traditional Yorkshire Longsword Dance. Green oak Morris perform Lillibullero in Doncaster High Street. The dancers performed in Priory Walk, and in the afternoon they danced in the High Street. The displays were admired by the Saturday afternoon shoppers. Several people in the audience said they liked to see this English Folk Dancing in Doncaster, and enjoyed the music and the excitement. The sun came out in the afternoon. The event was organised by Mr Paul Davenport. Musician includes Mike Morley melodeon.
