An enjoyable ride for the novice off-road mountain biker. The video pays particular attention to the terrain to ensure potential riders can judge if it is suitable for their level of riding ability. We have gone full suspension!! Let's try something a bit more difficult but let's keep it still within our riding abilities! This is a scenic, circular, e-mtb ride in the English Lake District National Park going along the somewhat rocky Old Coach Road into St John's in the Vale and then heading back along bridleways, quiet county lanes (via Castlerigg Stone Circle) and the Keswick to Threlkeld rail track. A truly fabulous route with enough rocky sections along the Old Coach Road to test out our new e-bikes. There is almost a mile to ride along the A591 but the rest of the route is on easy bridleways, walking/cycle tracks and quiet country lanes. This ride is 22.5 miles long & roughly 50% off-road. A basic map showing the route is available at the end of the video. This is a lovely route for those riders who fancy a bit of a challenge but don't want anything too technical; the routes that are readily available in books, magazines, youtube etc. Although there may be the need to walk a few short sections this must be balanced against the fantastic views available throughout the ride. I've put together this ride and several others (work in progress) as I've found a distinct lack of detailed information on rideable off-road routes for those of us with mountain e-bikes (hardtail or full suspension) who want to enjoy a non-technical, but fun, ride. The number of senior e-bike riders appears to be rapidly increasing and I'm hoping these routes will be useful to those visiting Cumbria and the Lake District and maybe even the local residents, like ourselves. 00:00 Intro 07:04 Old Coach Road some of the rocky section 14:26 Bridleway from St John's in the Vale Church 18:00 Castlerigg Stone Circle 20:18 Keswick railway path 28:00 Map of route #LakeDistrict #ebike #explore #emtb #ride #ebikeride ##LakeDistrictNationalPark #Cube #Keswick #oldcoachroad #keswickrailwaypath #StJohnsintheVale #hardtailebike #GoProhero10 #ebiketrail #TheLakes #easyoffroadroute #cycleroute #ebikerideforsofties #cyclinglife #cumbria #LDNP
