Supernatural - Sam is shattered AU

All clips are from Supernatural and Yes Man. They aren't mine. Song is Shattered by Trading Yesterday. This is an AU that my sister and I came up with again. Sam gets killed by the angels so that Lucifer cant use him as a vessel in the future. Dean makes a deal much like in the series to get him back. Sam has visions in which he can't stop from happening. After he comes back Sam see Dean die from the hell hounds and learns the truth. He dies a year later leaving Sam behind with their families to try and survive the apocalypse. Dean is in hell for 5 years. During that time Bethany, (Zooey Deschanel) Sams wife, is possessed and they cant exercise the demon because there is a binding on her keeping the demon inside. Sam turns to Ruby during this time for guidance and learns about getting blood and powers. Lucifer asks him everyday to be his vessel and he continues to say no even though bad things keep happening to he and Deans families. When Dean comes back Sam lies to him about everything involving Ruby and the blood. When Sam finally is able to get Bethany back she knows what Sam has been doing because of the demons memories but he continues doing everything anyway, with good intentions. It isnt til later that it all comes out and Sam and Dean have a big fight. Sam decides to follow Ruby convinced that with his powers he could kill Lucifer so Dean wont have to say yes to Michael. Ruby comes out and says that he couldnt kill Lucifer and it was all a plan to separate Sam from everyone else so he would say yes. Lost, Sam goes to Lucifer to do just that. Dean, in a fight is forced into a situation where Cas gives him angel blood to save everyone. Dean knew that Sam was going to face Lucifer but he doesnt think it will work so he runs off to save him. Before he goes Cas warns him about the angel blood thinking that too much might not be good. Dean promises to try and use the colt. Dean gets there in time to stop Sam but Lucifer sees something different about Dean and figures out about the angel blood. Lucifer forces Dean to drink a lot of his blood. Having that much angel blood pushes Dean over the edge and makes him a little nuts. Sam and Dean are able to escape with Dean using his powers. Sam is riddled with guilt, knowing its all his fault Dean resorted to this. That section of the story ends with Dean and Sam on their own. Dean is crazy and Sam is convinced that if he helps him he might eventually become more like he used to be. This is sort of long but its all relevant. The more you know, the more youll probably enjoy it. Thanks.
