this car came in with this code p010000 indication an open on the cam actuator. the customer changed the part and also inspected the wiring. that's when he contacted me to perform a harness check. I checked for continuity and did a load test and passed. I also scoped the vvt and tried commanding it with the scan tool but wouldn't actuate. reason for this was because the code comes up right away and disables the feature. I scoped and started the car and saw that the pcm saw did comand the actuator and quickly defaults it and won't comand again. this indicates the pcm is trying. I decided to take off the actuator and right away saw the wear on one of the contacts. the phaser will have to be replaced
