Scottish Highlanders Flintlock Pistol, also known as a Murdoc Pistol. An all metal, rare and unique muzzle loading flintlock pistol from 1730s Scotland. This is a replica but is 1 for 1 on the original. The pistol is live firing and held on a section 1 firearms certificate For the first video I'm going to be having a look at the Scottish Highlanders pistol, this is also known as the Murdoch pistol. It does go by a few other names but they're the two main names so this is an unusual Flint lock pistol used by the Scottish Highlanders. Where they wanted something that look very different and a lot fancier the than all the other sort of wooden and steel pistols at the time although steel at the time was referred to as iron so this was uh invented in the 1730s and by the 1740s this was used by all of the Scottish regiments like the 42nd. First of all obviously it is made of All Steel you notice there is no trigger guard at all, it has this ball style trigger, it is quite a small pistol when you compare it to something like a sea service or a land service. This is quite a small pistol it's probably around the size of queen Ann but even then it is quite small. • Flintlock Gun Reviews #goldenageofpiracy #flintlock #pirates #blackpowder #historical
