Bikepacking the Empire State Trail for the Erie Canalway Bicentennial

Bikepacking the Empire State Trail in fall 2025 my friend and I rode 330 miles in 3 days, from new york city to utica, along the empire state trail. We started in Manhattan and rode north, reaching Albany in two days and one night. From Albany, we turned onto the Erie Canalway segment of the Empire State Trail, and rode to Utica, where we took the amtrak back to manhattan. 2025 marked the Bicentennial of the Erie Canalway and no better way to celebrate than some thunderstorms, wasp stings, and 3 century rides back to back to back. wanna see more long, multiday bikepacking/touring rides? leave a like and comment, or subscribe and I can justify doing more of these adventures.
