4 Days Alone Hiking and Wild Camping in the Picos De Europa

At the start of Autumn while travelling around Northern Spain in my campervan I decided to downgrade my comfort for some upgraded views. A 4 day solo hike and camping trip taking in the incredible scenery in the Picos. Most of the trails were very quiet with only the therapeutic sounds of cowbells ringing through the valleys. My original route was to take me across all 3 Massifs in the Picos, however due to route closure and poor planning on my part this went slightly wrong and instead I had to change my route choice a little. This meant not quite as much high mountain hiking as I would have liked but still plenty of time cruising between the high peaks. Covered approximately 40miles with about 16,000ft of Elevation. I cant wait for my next trip to take in some of the summits the national park has to offer. Highly recommend for an affordable lightweight tent (approx £100) Sleeping Matt is a standard £50 Decathalon inflatable matt that I have used for almost all of my trips over the years Sleeping bag is also a cheap OEX bag. Good down to about 0 Degrees. Backpack is a Lowe Alpine 35/45L Airzone Walking Poles are some £50 Black Diamond extendable sticks
