Temporal pincer movement - A track performed backwards

A track performed backwards… then reversed in post production. I have spent the weekend ill in bed watching telly, and ended up watching Tenet – great film. It inspired me to write a track backwards. All of the drums, pads, bass are all sequenced backwards. It turns out performing backwards is really tricky. Of course it is, everything is reversed. Build ups are breakdowns, there is no tail to any sound when using reverb or delay, samples have to be backwards, and all sequence steps need to be off the grid (or written in reverse). It was good fun, but maybe not what the doctor ordered when feeling ill 🤒
