UW Blink's Flickerwhisp plus Witch Enchanter removes Leyline of the Guildpact directly — stripping mana engine and color fixing in one move. Game one was a one-land keep with real payoff density, but no recovery window once the Leyline was gone. The Strix Serenade in hand wasn't used on Flickerwhisp, which was the critical missed decision. Game two had three lands in the opener and flooded from there. Lightning Bolt was spent on Phelia end-of-turn with Strix Serenade and SOS already in hand — removal wasted on a low-priority target. Flickerwhisp plus Witch Enchanter then killed Scion on turn three. Two games, two different loss vectors. Surge of Salvation was added to the main as manabase protection, but it doesn't interact with the flicker-enchantment line at all.
