To everyone who has been worried about the recent food shortage: We have some incredible news! This morning, January 28, 2026, the NEFL nest witnessed a truly remarkable sight. The Appearance of a "Fish Pantry" From the early hours of this morning through the forenoon, our resident male, Beau, brought in fish at an astonishing rate. In just a few hours, he delivered a total of 8+ fish. The contrast to the past few days of silence is striking; the corner of the nest is now piled high with fresh fish. Is this human intervention? While the sheer volume may seem unnatural, this is not the result of human feeding. According to the official Event Log, Beau's individual deliveries were meticulously recorded minute-by-minute: 06:45 - 1st fish delivery 07:12 / 07:34 - Rapid successive deliveries 08:00–10:00 - At least 5 more fish added Why so many all at once? After several days of poor hunting conditions due to bad weather, it appears Beau went on a "revenge fishing" spree as soon as conditions improved. Bald eagles are known to feast-or-famine; when the opportunity arises, they will secure as much food as possible. As an elite provider, Beau has switched into "pantry mode" to ensure the eaglets have everything they need to grow. Current Status The eaglets (NE32 & NE33), who had been hungry for days, are now surrounded by a bounty of food and are currently in a deep "food coma." Thanks to the tireless devotion of their parents, the nest now has a steady supply for the days ahead.
