In this episode of the Swandingo Files our host Stephen Swanson interviewed US Navy Veteran Crisie Remmel. Cristie is a US Navy Veteran who served as a Marine FMF Corpsman (Medic) during Desert Shield/Storm. She was attached to Marine Air Wing 39 out of Camp Pendleton, CA and deployed to Bahrain with MWSS 373. She received the Fleet Marine Force Ribbon, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, National Defence Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with Globe Anchor and 2 Stars and the Kuwait Liberation Medal during her enlistment. After her Honorable discharge from the military, Cristie obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and her Master’s degree in Fine Art. Cristie is a mentor, educator, and faculty member with Genius U an international organization owned by Roger Hamilton. She has been sought out and selected by major corporations as a professional Art Therapy Trainer, and Veteran Speaker. She helped developed homeschool curriculum while she homeschooled her children. She was instrumental in developing ghost writing protocols for Create A Book Program out of California. She is a ghost writing author and her first books hit the number one best seller books thru Amazon in 2013. (Wealth Within Reach- The Everyday Strategist) Her love for giving back to the community led her to raise guide dogs for the blind thru SouthEastern Guide Dogs out of Florida as a puppy raiser and later as a mentor for new puppy raisers in 2000-2007. She is a frequent guest speaker at elementary schools and shows kids how to deal with stress and anxiety thru simple methodologies as well as how to get “A’s” in school. Her favorite community outreach is to be involved with the veteran community by volunteering with Women Veterans of America Chapter 48 (Color Guard), The American Legion (Honor Guard), The VFW Frisco, and the Marine Corps League of McKinney. It is her belief that relationships in work or otherwise are invaluable not only to individual success but also a company’s success. “Creating connections and serving others is what I do” ~Cristie Want to learn more about the DFW veterans Chamber of Commerce? https://dfwveteranschamber.org/ Want to learn more about The Swandingo Files or Stephen Swanson? https://swandingo.com Want to learn more about our sponsor Hephaestus Global? https://hephaestusglobal.com/
