The Most Useful Miniature Clipboards

In this beginner woodworking project I make miniature clipboards. They have a million and one uses, including being used to hold pictures, grocery lists, recipes, small project lists, etc. They can be made out of a variety of thicknesses of wood (in this video I show clipboards that are 1/4", 1/2" and 3/4" thick) and they can be decorated in different ways. One of the clipboards features pyrography (wood-burning) while the three others feature contrasting woods of red oak, cherry, maple and walnut. It would be very easy to batch these out to be sold at craft shows, or make them out of scrap wood. This batch of clipboard is designed to use a sheet a regular paper cut into quarters. It measures 5 1/16" x 6 7/16" but you can make it any size you want. For the 3/4 clipboard I made, I was able to drill a hole in the top of it to hold a pen. Check out my instagram for photos!
