Do you Abide? It's time to be like the Dude Lebowski and have a White Russian! This cocktail did not come from the 1990's film 'The Big Lebowski'. It originated from the 1960s when a patron added cream to their 'Black Russian'. The two cocktails share the same ingredients of Vodka and Coffee Liqueur, just the addition of cream turns the cocktail white. Now, the titular character 'The Dude' also called this a 'Caucasian'. Though, modern bartending etiquette may dictate you call it by the standardized nomenclature of the 'White Russian'. So, abide like 'The Dude' and enjoy this delightful cocktail! To create this Cocktail, you will need the following: Rocks Glass Vodka Coffee Liqueur (Kahlua is the standard brand) Cream (or Half & Half) To actually make the Cocktail: 2 oz./60 ml Vodka 1 oz./ 30 ml Coffee Liqueur Splash of Cream or Half and Half Build cocktail in the glass over ice.
