Valen Hsu has sung many classic songs since her debut in 1995, including "Sea of Tears", "If the Clouds Knew", "One Man Show", and "Daylight Airport". That afternoon, while Valen Hsu was waiting for her, a group in the office sang one of her songs, and it seemed that everyone had memories of their youth. The most interesting thing about group love songs is that while the same tune is sung, the images in their heads are completely different, and each of them has its own state of mind. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally, we had a visitor, and we could say to her, "We grew up listening to your songs". Although, we are only a few years younger than her. Valen Hsu has sung many classic songs since her debut in 1995, including "Sea of Tears," "If the Clouds Knew," "One Man Show," and "Daylight Airport." That afternoon, while waiting for Valen Hsu, the office group sang one of her songs, and it seemed that everyone had memories of their youth. The most interesting thing about the group singing love songs is that while they sing the same tune, the images in their heads are completely different, each with their own state of mind. In the evening, I finally saw Valen, much smaller than I thought she would be, and marveled at how the years have been kind to her, leaving no trace of her. We talked a lot about work, life changes, and love. It turned out that the years hadn't really been that kind to her, but had still exacted a price from her for growing up. Finally, I asked her a question I've been thinking about lately: Are you the best actor, screenwriter, or director in your life? Fittingly, she answered me with her own song: "Who is directing this play / In this lonely role / The dialog is always self-talking / The opponents are all memories / I can't see any ending". Often, what can't be said, can be better expressed by singing. In this episode, we invited Valen Hsu to talk about life. She shares her experiences and realizations at different stages of her life, talking about the scars of love, the struggle for self-identity, and the realization of life as time passes. The guests analyzed their inner world in a real and frank way, and gave the audience a lot of inspirations. The program is also full of laughter and banter, which makes the whole conversation charming and genuine. Through this conversation, the audience can feel that we are all searching for answers in life, and everyone's answer is unique. 00:00:00 - Opening: Waking up from a dream 00:06:34 - I don't look at the past, I look at the present. 00:07:37 - The moment I took off my high heels was the beginning of my growth. 00:09:03 - You gotta go there to come back 00:09:27 - Do people need to live up to society's expectations? 00:09:54 - Life at two/three/forty. 00:10:50 - Finding the lost comfort. 00:11:23 - What I like most about who I am now. 00:15:34 - Don't live up to society's expectations. 00:18:12 - I don't doubt my own process. 00:20:48 - I can't conform to society's framework. 00:22:17 - If you think life is boring going downstream, try going upstream. 00:23:53 - And you'll get a kick out of it. 00:23:53 - Going with the flow in a big way, going against the flow in a small way. 00:25:14 - Do what you love and you'll shine. 00:26:32 - Open up all your pores and feel it. 00:27:10 - So you're a dad. 00:30:37 - If you don't like it, just say so. 00:33:58 - You can't hide it. 00:33:58 - I'm more at ease with myself now. 00:34:17 - My twenty-something self can't recognize where my emotions come from. 00:36:49 - At 20, even crashing into a train is romantic. 00:47:25 - A pandering relationship won't last long. 00:50:45 - Let bygones be bygones. 00:51:13 - Waking up from a dream is really embarrassing. 00:54:18 - What is love? 00:56:34 - Can't understand how to put up with a lover? 00:59:01 - Is it possible to have both love and friendship in the same person? 01:00:51 - Want to be a scriptwriter?
